INTRODUCING KULDEA –
THE HOME FOR FURNITURE DISCOVERY
Investing in a conservatory or an orangery is just the first step! Turning it into a living space that adds value to your everyday life is a process and entirely separate matter.
Furniture that you need, fitting your home style is not easy to find when there are so many options available… It’s about time we introduced you to Kuldea – The Home For Furniture Discovery.
Kuldea acts much in the same way Skyscanner does for flights, Kuldea provides the most simple and straightforward way for consumers to search, discover, compare and shop furniture across the entire market on one website.
Why? Only because who has time to search through tens of different website in pursuit of the perfect coffee table, do they? Aren’t we’re all super busy people.
With over 66 retailers on board, bringing together over 200,000 products, consumers are able to visit the website and dive straight into searching for specific pieces of furniture by room, or by browsing the actual products, that are presented by room or furniture type, and a filter system allows the user to tailor by budget, size or colour.
Users can also ‘favourite’ products, set sale alerts on items of interest, share products with others, and build their own furniture collections to help manage projects or simply compare styles and prices.
When people are ready to buy, one click takes them directly to the product of their choice on the retailer’s website.
Founded by Irish/Australian couple Deirdre McGettrick and Ray Wright, the inspiration for Kuldea came from their struggle to find the furniture they wanted for their own apartment.
After months of searching, endlessly creating spreadsheets to keep track of the products they loved, they decided there had to be a better way.
Deirdre McGettric, Kuldea Co-Founder: “We found the experience very frustrating and disconnected. Working long hours, the last thing we wanted to do in the evenings was trawl websites to find the right sofa or bedside cabinet, especially as we kept having to repeatedly input the same search criteria on every furniture website we found.”
Deirdre and Ray set about turning their conclusion into a business and felt it was a ‘cool idea’ which lead to the business being named “Kuldea”. They wanted the name to be distinctive and recognisable in the furniture and furnishings market.
Currently, you will find retailers such as Maisons du Monde, Rise&Fall, Made.com, Darlings of Chelsea, John Lewis, Furniture Village, Lombok, Houseology and many more, all on one website, Kuldea.
There are some big names as well as smaller brands like Curious Egg and Cuckooland, offering a great variety of products to help you in the hunt to create your perfect home, as well as the Top tips and Inspiration helping and inspiring people on their journey of creating their dream homes.
If you love the sound of this idea why not go and give them a try at kuldea.com.
